Summer Marinades
(NC)-Try these fast and easy do-it-yourself marinade recipes:
Prep time: 5 minutes
Directions: Combine all ingredients. Pour marinade over meat in a sealable plastic bag or covered container. Let sit in refrigerator for 30 minutes to 24 hours.
Makes approximately 1/2 cup (125 mL).
Chili Garlic Marinade
. 1/4 cup (50 mL)Worcestershire sauce
. 2 tbsp (30 mL) olive oil
. 2 tsp (10 mL) each chili powder and crushed garlic
Red Wine Marinade
. 2 tbsp (30 mL) olive oil
. 6 tbsp (90 mL) red wine
. 1 clove garlic, crushed
. 1 tsp (5 mL) brown sugar
. 2 tsp (10 mL) Worcestershire sauce
. Freshly ground black pepper
Fresh Herb Marinade
. 2 tbsp (30 mL) olive oil
. 4 tbsp (60 mL) lemon juice
. 2 tsp (10 mL) Worcestershire sauce
. 1 clove garlic, crushed
. 1 finely sliced onion
. 1 tsp (5 mL) chopped fresh thyme
. 1 tsp (5 mL) chopped fresh marjoram
. 1 tsp (5 mL) chopped fresh parsley
